# Accelerating Progressive Decentralization

Unlike other projects which immediately started as a DAO, DappRadar was a successful centralized entity for 4 years before embarking on our DAO transformation. Therefore, there are a number of legal, governance and finance implications to consider during the process. 

To manage this pragmatically, we decided to decentralize components of our business operations gradually over time, to maximize both decentralization and business efficiency. The next stage of our DAO transformation, will see this effective decentralization accelerated.
